OTT Platform Guidelines

These guidelines govern the standards, responsibilities, and conduct expected of all users, creators, and partners engaging with storysneak.com. As a regulated OTT (Over-the-Top) content platform operating in India, SKNTECH PRIVATE LIMITED is committed to full compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and all applicable laws.

1. Content Classification

All content published on StorySneak is classified in accordance with age-appropriateness and content sensitivity. Our classification categories are as follows:

U (Universal)Suitable for all age groups with no restricted content
U/A 7+Suitable for children aged 7 and above with parental guidance advised
U/A 13+Suitable for users aged 13 and above; may contain mild themes
U/A 16+Suitable for users aged 16 and above; may contain mature themes, moderate language, or mild violence
A (Adult)Restricted to users aged 18 and above; contains adult themes

Content ratings are displayed prominently on each title card and episode page to enable informed viewing decisions.

2. Parental Controls

StorySneak provides parental control features that allow guardians to restrict access to age-rated content. Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to configure these settings for accounts used by minors. The platform is not liable for content accessed by minors on accounts belonging to adults where parental controls have not been enabled.

3. Prohibited Content

StorySneak does not permit the hosting, distribution, or promotion of content that:

  • Threatens the sovereignty, integrity, or security of India
  • Promotes communal disharmony, incites violence, or spreads hatred on the basis of religion, caste, gender, or ethnicity
  • Depicts or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation in any form
  • Contains graphic or gratuitous violence without editorial justification
  • Constitutes defamation, harassment, or invasion of any individual's privacy
  • Violates the intellectual property rights of any third party

4. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

In compliance with applicable digital media regulations, SKNTECH PRIVATE LIMITED has designated a Grievance Officer to address user complaints relating to content published on the platform. Users who wish to raise a content-related grievance may do so by writing to contact@storysneak.com with the subject line "Content Grievance". All grievances will be acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days of receipt.

5. Content Takedown Policy

StorySneak is committed to acting swiftly on legitimate content removal requests. Upon receiving a valid complaint or legal notice, the platform will review the content in question and, where warranted, remove or restrict access to it within the timeframes prescribed under applicable law.

6. Self-Regulation and Editorial Standards

StorySneak adheres to a self-regulatory editorial framework that requires all content — whether original or licensed — to undergo review prior to publication. Our editorial team evaluates each submission for compliance with our content policy, applicable laws, and community standards before it is made available to users.

7. Compliance with Indian Law

StorySneak operates in full compliance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995, to the extent applicable to OTT platforms. We cooperate with government authorities and regulatory bodies as required.
